MyLab renders differently across MyLab Math, MyLab Statistics, MyLab IT and the various discipline builds, and Pearson changes the markup regularly. The MyLab content script carries eight layers of selector fallbacks for this reason, so a layout change degrades into a manual answer rather than a dead panel.
Pacing and misses
Think-time scales with the length of the exercise, the cursor moves along curves, and longer runs take breaks. B Student Mode adds a miss rate you choose. On MyLab that is worth setting carefully, because homework sets often allow unlimited attempts while quizzes do not, and a deliberate miss costs more on the latter.
Alpha status, stated plainly
MyLab support is marked Alpha in the extension. It works well on standard MyLab Math and Statistics homework and is less predictable on discipline-specific builds. Expect to step in occasionally rather than assuming a full set will always finish clean.
Homework versus quizzes and tests
MyLab homework usually allows unlimited attempts with a similar-exercise option, while quizzes and tests do not. That single difference should decide how you configure the Pearson MyLab bot: relaxed on homework, conservative or hands-off on anything labelled quiz or test.
When Pearson changes something
Because MyLab markup moves, a run can degrade into the panel showing answers without filling them. That is the designed fallback rather than a crash. Place the answers yourself and report the exercise type in Discord so the selector set can be extended.
Algorithmic homework is designed so you cannot copy a friend answer, which also means it is designed to be done twelve times. A Pearson MyLab bot doing the repetitions is the reasonable response to that design.
