Edgenuity Bot: Work Through Activities Automatically
Edgenuity is built out of Learnosity question widgets, and that is the whole reason most tools only half work on it. Click a radio button and they are fine. Reach a drag-and-drop matching task or a matrix grid and they stop. The SmarterBook Edgenuity bot covers those widget types directly, which is what makes an unattended run finish.
Full Learnosity widget coverage
Version 3.6.0 closed the gap that competing scripts still have. Each widget family has its own handler rather than being funnelled through a single click routine, so the bot fills the answer the way the widget expects to receive it.
- Drag and drop through the accessibility path, not fragile mouse simulation
- Cloze dropdown blanks matched by option text, not position
- Choice matrix and classification grids
- MathQuill input including fractions, radicals, exponents and subscripts
- Legacy heritage questions from older courses
It refuses to run on exams
This is deliberate and not configurable. Activity titles are checked against a blocklist covering cumulative exams, finals, midterms, pretests and tests, and the Edgenuity bot skips those instead of solving them. Proctoring software is detected too, and if Honorlock, Respondus, ProctorU, Proctorio, Examity or ExamSoft is present the panel does not mount at all.
Lessons, practice, assignments and warm-ups are the work this is for. Exams are yours.
Pacing across a long activity
Edgenuity activities are long, and finishing one in two minutes is the single most obvious thing a tool can do. Delay scales with question length, the cursor travels in curves, reading screens get real time spent on them, and longer runs take breaks. B Student Mode misses on purpose at a rate you choose so a run does not come back flawless.
The in-page panel
The panel docks on the activity page with a live status line, the current question and where its answer came from, session stats, and a safety readout showing what has been blocked. You can stop a run at any point and take over by hand.
The Hive-Mind side
Pro and above can look up a whole activity in one request before falling back to per-question answering, which makes a familiar activity noticeably faster. Contributions are hashed question signatures, never question text, and the lookup is an accelerator rather than the source of truth.
If a run stalls
Learnosity occasionally loads a widget type the handler does not recognise. The panel shows the current question and its answer so you can place it yourself and continue, rather than the run silently stopping. Reporting the widget in Discord is how new handlers get prioritised.
Edgenuity is volume work: long activities, repeated formats, a lot of clicking for very little thinking. An Edgenuity bot that handles every Learnosity widget and hard-blocks exams takes the volume off your hands without taking the assessment with it.
