Coursera Bot for Practice and Module Quizzes

A Coursera specialisation is mostly quizzes between videos. Practice quizzes that do not count, module quizzes that barely do, and reading checks that exist to keep you moving. The SmarterBook Coursera bot works through that layer so the certificate track keeps progressing while you focus on the parts worth watching.

What a run looks like

Open a quiz, pick Coursera from the platform screen, and press Solve All. The bot reads each question, selects the answer, and moves to the next one. Coursera is a React application whose markup shifts between course types, so the extension resolves the question region through layered selectors rather than one fixed path.

  • Multiple choice and single-answer questions
  • Checkbox questions with several correct options
  • True or false and reading-check items
  • Numeric and short text entry
  • Practice quizzes with unlimited attempts

Pace it like a person watching a course

Coursera records attempt timing, and a quiz finished in fifteen seconds after a forty minute video block is a strange pattern. Think-time scales with question length, the cursor moves in curves, and the speed slider sets the tempo. Set it slow and the run looks like someone who watched the lecture.

Where to point it, and where not to

Practice quizzes, ungraded reading checks and repeatable module quizzes are the sensible target for a Coursera bot. Peer-graded assignments need your own work by definition, and anything presented as a proctored or honours assessment should stay yours. The extension refuses to mount its panel when it detects proctoring software.

One license, every platform

Coursera support arrived in version 3.6.4 alongside Quizizz and uses the same panel, speed control and behaviour layer as every other platform. If you already have a license there is nothing extra to buy or install.

Certificates and honour codes

Coursera asks you to agree to an honour code, and a paid certificate is a credential you may end up putting in front of an employer. That is a genuine reason to keep the graded assessments yours and point automation at the practice layer instead. The tool does not make that judgement for you.

If the panel does not mount

Coursera renders quizzes differently across course types and occasionally ships layout changes. If the panel does not appear, refresh once after selecting the platform. If it still does not, Snap AI covers the question through Ctrl+Shift+Z.

Certificate tracks are gated on quiz completion far more than on quiz difficulty. A Coursera bot clearing the practice layer means the hours you spend on the course go into the lectures and projects that the certificate is actually supposed to represent.
