Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of the SmarterBook browser extension and the smarterbook.online website. By purchasing, activating, or using SmarterBook, you agree to use it only as described below. This Policy supplements our Terms of Service.

1. Intended Use

SmarterBook is provided as a study assistance and learning tool. It is intended to help you study, review, and check your work. You are responsible for how you choose to use it.

2. Compliance With Laws and Institutional Policies

You must comply with all applicable laws and with your institution's academic integrity policies, honor codes, and rules. You are solely and exclusively responsible for understanding and following the policies that govern your enrollment.

3. License Restrictions

• You may not share, resell, lease, sublicense, or transfer your license key to any other person or entity under any circumstances.
• Each license key is for a single user on a single device for the duration of an active subscription period.
• You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, or create derivative works from the extension or any part of it.
• You may not use the extension to build a competing product or to circumvent our licensing, payment, or rate-limiting systems.

4. Assumption of Responsibility

You assume full responsibility for any academic integrity violations, disciplinary actions, or other consequences arising from your use of SmarterBook. SmarterBook is a tool and bears no responsibility for how you choose to use it.

5. Enforcement

Violation of this Policy results in immediate termination of your license without refund, and may result in a permanent ban from future access to SmarterBook services. We reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, what constitutes a violation.
